Metricool Reviews 2026: Ratings and Complaints
Metricool scores 4.1 on Trustpilot and 4.5 on G2. The 2026 complaints: posts marked published that never go live, and renewals that are not refunded.
Metricool scores 4.1 on Trustpilot, but 2026 reviews keep describing posts that say published and never go live.
Ratings checked September to October 2026. Each figure carries the date it was read.
We read Metricool’s reviews in October 2026. Trustpilot rates Metricool 4.1 from 685 reviews on the Spanish page on 15 October, and the English badge on 16 October said Great, from 686 reviews. G2 rates it 4.5 from 101 reviews. Capterra rates it 4.4 from 98. Both were read on 20 October 2026.
Inside the reviews that are not four and five stars, two complaints repeat in 2026. Scheduled posts get marked published and do not appear. Automatic renewals are charged, and Metricool’s own policy says those renewals are not refundable. Support writes back. Sometimes the reply does not put the post on the network.
Our pick: Distribution.ai
Distribution.ai will not mark a post published without a live URL, and a renewal is shown before it is taken.
- “Published” means the network returned a live URL. A scheduler status is not a post.
- If a profile disconnects, the queue pauses and says so. Weeks of scheduled posts are not reported as sent.
- The renewal date and the renewal amount sit in the product before the charge. Cancel before that date and the charge does not run.
- Metricool is already the cheap tool. Distribution.ai does not win this page on price. Metricool Starter is $20 a month on annual billing. The difference is a post you can open, and a renewal you can see coming.
Here is how Metricool is rated on the two biggest review sites.
4.5 / 5
101 reviews, read 20 October 2026. Ease of use on G2’s compare pages in 2026 was 9.1 out of 10. The sample is small next to Hootsuite’s 7,000. It is also consistently high. Capterra agreed, at 4.4 from 98 reviews on 20 October 2026.
4.1 / 5
685 reviews on 15 October 2026, labeled Great. The next day’s English badge said 686. On 30 September a separate read had it at 4.0 from 671. The score is drifting up, not down.
Trustpilot’s badge does not show the full star split. It shows four filled stars. That is the opposite of Hootsuite’s page, which is a one-star page with a 4.3 on G2. Metricool’s critics are a minority. They are a specific minority, and the quotes are from 2026.
Metricool replies under the bad reviews. Hootsuite’s Trustpilot page said it had not.
These are the two complaints Metricool reviewers repeat most.
1. The scheduler says published. The post is not there.
“Paid for the service. Took my money and didn’t work. Posts scheduled, said published but never showed up on social media. Went through their support and got Bruno their AI support team, who kept going round in circles.”
Trustpilot, 11 Oct 2026
Metricool replied on the review. The reply says Bruno, their AI assistant, should have connected the reviewer to a person, and that a reviewer can ask Bruno to do that. The reply does not say the posts were found live. The status the reviewer saw was “published.” The posts, the reviewer says, were not on the network.
“Errors non stop when it comes to posting, randomly disconnects your accounts after you have scheduled weeks in advance (you wont get that back).”
Trustpilot, Bright Sky Studios, 9 Jun 2026
Metricool replied on 12 June. The reply says disconnections come from expired tokens, changed passwords, or a security flag, that Metricool cannot prevent those, and that they email when one happens. That is a fair description of how network logins die. It is also the reviewer’s point. The weeks of posts were already queued, and the reviewer says they did not come back.
On Distribution.ai. The post is not marked published until the network returns a live URL. A disconnected profile pauses the queue and names the profile. The status on the screen is the status on the network.
2. The renewal hits, and the written policy says no refund.
Metricool’s refund policy, on its own help page:
- A first purchase can be withdrawn within 15 calendar days.
- Automatic renewals, monthly or annual, are not refundable.
- Their FAQ answers “Can I get a refund if my plan renewed automatically?” with “No.”
That is not a hidden clause. Reviewers still describe it as a surprise, which means the policy is easier to find after the charge than before it.
“Haven’t used the platform in 2 months. Don’t really care about the $70 they took from me. It’s just shameless.”
Trustpilot, AIM, 29 Jan 2026
Metricool replied on 2 February. The reply says the subscription renews unless it is cancelled beforehand, that Metricool does not check whether anyone is logging in, and that refunds apply within 15 days of the first purchase, not on renewals. The reply matches the policy. The reviewer had wanted the unused months back. The policy says no.
“…but the refund and cancellation process was as painless as I’ve ever experienced.”
Trustpilot, 22 Sep 2026
This is not every review. On 22 September 2026 a reviewer wrote that Metricool could not do what they needed, but praised the refund. On 9 September 2026 another wrote that the team “refunded my payment for the second month with no issues.” So refunds happen, including at least one second month. The policy says a renewal is not owed back. Both are true.
On Distribution.ai. The renewal date and the renewal amount are in the billing screen before the charge, not only in the terms. Cancel the day before, and there is no charge to refund. Distribution.ai does not need a 15-day exception if the renewal is not a surprise.
This is what Metricool reviewers like, and Distribution.ai does the scheduling part differently.
Scheduling and analytics at a price Hootsuite does not offer.
Starter is $20 a month billed annually, or $25 month to month, for 5 brands. Advanced starts at $53 a month on the annual rate. There is a free plan: 1 brand, 20 posts a month, no LinkedIn and no X. Prices read from Metricool’s pricing page on 30 September 2026.
G2’s ease-of-use score on the compare page was 9.1 out of 10. Reviewers who are not writing about a failed post are writing about a cheap tool that also has the reports. That is a real product. Three seats on Hootsuite Standard are $3,564 a year. Metricool Starter for this scenario, one brand and 5 networks, is $240 a year. The tools are not equivalent. The price gap is why people switch, and then write the reviews above.
On Distribution.ai too. Scheduling across the same networks. The thing Distribution.ai adds: the post is confirmed live, and the renewal is on the screen.
Support answers.
Trustpilot’s own summary of the page praises response times. The replies quoted above are real, and they are fast. The June reply explained token expiry. The October reply admitted the AI assistant should have handed the ticket to a person. The January reply cited the refund clause instead of refunding $70.
On Distribution.ai. Answering is not the same as the post going live. Distribution.ai’s check is the live URL, so the support ticket is not the way you find out the post never published.
Our verdict
Metricool is well liked for the price and the reports, but 2026 reviewers keep hitting posts that never go live and renewals the policy will not return.
- Trustpilot rates it 4.1 from 685 reviews on 15 October 2026, and the badge the next day said Great, from 686. G2 rates it 4.5 from 101. Capterra rates it 4.4 from 98. This is a good score with a specific complaint, not a 1.3.
- The posting quotes are from 11 October 2026 and 9 June 2026. Both say scheduled posts did not end up on the network. Metricool replied to both. One reply blamed the login token. One reply said the AI assistant should have escalated.
- The billing quote is from 29 January 2026, a $70 renewal after two unused months, refused under the 15-day rule. Metricool’s help page says automatic renewals are not refundable. Two September 2026 reviews say a cancellation was refunded anyway.
- One brand on Starter is $20 a month on annual billing, $240 a year, or $25 paid monthly. Distribution.ai does not claim to beat that number. Three people on Hootsuite Standard are $3,564 a year. Three seats of Sprout Social Standard are $7,164. Metricool is the cheap one. The question on this page is whether “published” means the post is there.
- Hootsuite’s Trustpilot score is 1.3 and Sprout Social’s is 1.8. Do not file Metricool with them. The complaints rhyme. The ratings do not.
These are the questions people ask about Metricool reviews.
Is Metricool legit?
Yes. Metricool is a real scheduler with a Trustpilot score of 4.1 from 685 reviews on 15 October 2026, a G2 score of 4.5 from 101, and a published refund policy. It also replies to its negative reviews. Legit is not the same as “every scheduled post went live.”
What is Metricool’s rating on Trustpilot?
4.1 out of 5 from 685 reviews, read on 15 October 2026. The English badge on 16 October said Great, from 686. On 30 September it was 4.0 from 671. The score is in a different category from Hootsuite at 1.3 and Sprout Social at 1.8.
Do Metricool posts actually publish?
Not always, according to 2026 reviews. On 11 October a reviewer wrote that posts were marked published and never appeared. On 9 June a reviewer wrote that accounts disconnected and weeks of scheduled posts were lost. Metricool replied to both. Treat “published” in the product as a claim you should check on the network.
Are Metricool renewals refundable?
Not under Metricool’s own policy. A first purchase can be withdrawn within 15 calendar days. Automatic renewals cannot. Their help page answers the renewal-refund question with “No.” Some reviewers in September 2026 say they were refunded anyway. The safe reading is that a renewal is final unless support makes an exception.
What do reviewers like about Metricool?
The price, the analytics, and support that writes back. Starter is $20 a month on annual billing for 5 brands. G2’s ease-of-use score was 9.1 out of 10. Trustpilot’s summary praises the support team, and the replies under the one-star reviews are visible.
How much does Metricool cost?
Free for 1 brand and 20 posts a month, without LinkedIn or X. Starter is $20 a month billed annually or $25 month to month, for 5 brands. Advanced starts at $53 a month on the annual rate, or $67 month to month. Prices read on 30 September 2026 from Metricool’s pricing page. It is not priced per seat. Adding a person is not the Hootsuite problem. The renewal rule is.
