We're a small-but-mighty startup led by Ross Simmonds (Founder of Foundation Marketing), and we're building the future of distribution workflows for content teams.

We’re now hiring our Founding Account Executive — someone who wants to build the sales engine from the ground up and own a revenue lane inside a fast-moving SaaS startup.

Why this role is unique

  • You're the first full-time salesperson. You'll own pipeline, process, outreach, and revenue from day one.
  • You'll shape the go-to-market motion. Messaging, ICP refinement, outbound strategy, sales playbooks — you get to design it with us.
  • You'll sell a product customers already love. Early users include creators, agencies, and marketing teams repurposing content at scale.
  • You're joining a startup with momentum. Distribution.ai is backed by a proven founder with a track record of building and scaling marketing companies.
  • You'll have a direct line to product. What you learn in the field will influence the roadmap.

What you'll do

  • Own the full sales cycle from outbound prospecting to close.
  • Build and refine outbound sequences, scripts, and positioning.
  • Run demos and consultative discovery calls with marketing teams, agencies, and creators.
  • Develop repeatable processes for lead qualification, follow-up, and objection handling.
  • Collaborate with the founder and product to tighten ICP and messaging.
  • Report on pipeline health, forecast revenue, and analyze deal trends.
  • Help build the early sales stack (CRM, automation, enrich/intent tools, etc.).
  • Experiment relentlessly - channels, outreach angles, offers, verticals.
  • Lay the foundation for future sales hires (playbooks, documentation, process clarity).

You might be a fit if…

  • You've sold SaaS or software (2–5+ years), ideally to marketers, creators, agencies, or SMBs.
  • You're comfortable with early-stage ambiguity and thrive without red tape.
  • You love outbound (email, LinkedIn, calls) and are confident booking your own pipeline.
  • You communicate with clarity, ask sharp questions, and can teach prospects something new.
  • You have a builder mindset — you don’t just run a playbook, you create one.
  • You understand content marketing or distribution workflows (a bonus, not required).
  • You're competitive, resourceful, and energized by big targets.
  • You want to grow as the company grows—into leadership, sales strategy, or a bigger revenue role.

What success looks like (first 6–12 months)

  • A reliable outbound motion that consistently delivers qualified opportunities.
  • Closed early customers in priority segments.
  • A repeatable demo → proposal → close workflow.
  • You collaborate with us to validate key ICPs and use cases.
  • You help shape messaging based on real conversations.
  • You set the foundation for a scalable, high-performing sales org.
